09.01.2026: New Contract Awarded by GreenH Bodø AS

NLI Engineering has entred into a contract with GreenH Bodø AS for delivery of fabrication and installation of a new hydrogen plant at Langstranda in Bodø.

The project is an important contribution to the green transition of the maritime sector. Several NLI companies will work closely together to ensure efficient implementation and high quality in all aspects. On 09.01.26, GreenH and NLI held a joint kick-off meeting to establish common goals and ensure good coordination from the start.

The plant will supply green hydrogen to the new hydrogen-powered ferries on the Vestfjord connection between Bodø and Lofoten. GreenH follows a clear strategy of producing hydrogen close to where demand is greatest, to reduce transport needs and ensure sustainable solutions.

NLI Engineering is responsible for project management, prefabrication, installation and mechanical completion. The collaboration between the various NLI units gives the project a unique breadth and strength, and ensures that all disciplines are well coordinated. Work will start immediately, with completion targeted for the end of 2026.

The project will have significant local ripple effects and strengthen Bodø’s position as a center for green industry and future-oriented technology. The NLI group looks forward to contributing to a sustainable society through this collaboration.
